Finding the right fragrance feels personal — because it is. The right perfume can take you back to a memory, lift your mood, and even become part of how people remember you. Avon's fragrance library is massive, which is wonderful but can be overwhelming. Here's the framework I use with my customers every single week.

Step 1: Pick Your Family

Every perfume belongs to a fragrance family — floral, fresh, oriental (warm, spicy), or woody. Think about the scents you already love (the way coffee smells, freshly cut grass, vanilla candles) and that tells you your family. Most women land in floral or oriental.

Step 2: Try Avon's Iconic Florals

If you love a romantic, feminine scent, start with Far Away, Imari, or Rare Pearls. These are some of the most-loved Avon fragrances of all time — for good reason. They're soft, layered, and wear beautifully on warm skin.

Step 3: Explore Fresh & Clean

Step 5: Layer Like a Pro

Avon's bath collections (lotions, body sprays, shower gels) are designed to layer with their fragrances. A matching body lotion under your perfume makes the scent last hours longer — and it's the trick fragrance pros use.

Don't decide on a fragrance from the first spray. Wear it for at least 30 minutes — perfumes evolve as they warm on your skin. The scent at 30 minutes (the 'heart notes') is the one you'll smell for the rest of the day.
